Afro House
beginners
The Afro house dance style originated in Angola in the 1990s. Afro house music was brought by local DJs to Angola from South Africa. Here, South African music has added traditional Angolan rhythms.
At first people didn't know how to dance to this music, so they danced what they knew – Kuduro. But Afro house music is slower and more "chill". Therefore, the dancers began to adjust some of the Kuduro steps. Gradually began to originate Afro house movements, whose development continues to the present days.
Afro house has nothing to do with House Dance, it has a different energy and feeling. It can be combined with other dance styles, while keeping the original feelings.
The lesson begins with warm-up, continues with the teaching of individual elements, which then combine into variations and longer choreos.
What to wear
Comfortable clothes, indoor sports shoes (not outdoor), leaving no marks on the floor. It is also possible to dance barefoot.
